What is Gaelic football?
"Gaelic" is one of the national sports of Ireland, having been played there for hundreds of years. Most often described as a hybrid of soccer, basketball and rugby, Gaelic football is a field sport that combines speed, endurance and athleticism. The Pittsburgh GAA plays in the Midwest division with teams from Ohio, Michigan and New York. We travel throughout the country each year to the USGAA finals where thousands of athletes compete for national championships!
Schedule of events for the day:
12:00-1:30 - Gaelic football skills session
1:30-2:00 - Lunch/drinks at the field
2:00-3:15 - Midwest divisional game... Pittsburgh Celtics vs Buffalo Fenians (men's game)
3:15-??? - Post game celebration at the field
8:00-??? - Night out with the PGAA at our sponsor bar Lot 17 in Bloomfield
