Captain's Meeting:
1. Tuesday August 9th - Pick up t-shirts, and get assigned your team number for the schedule/divisions. Staff will be available from 4pm-6pm at Bigham Tavern. All teams must send someone.
2. On Thursday August 11th we will host a Zoom Captain's Meeting from 6:00-6:30 pm. Teams are welcome to have as many players as they want at the Zoom meeting, but they must have at least 1 representative.

Weather Policy

Kickball for a Cause is a rain or shine tournament. Games will be played in moderate rain. If needed, games played on dirt will be shifted to the grass.

In the event of lightning we will sound an air horn to stop all play. All participants and attendees should get into a safe spot to wait. Games will be resumed according to our flash to bang policy, as listed on our website.

In the event we stop play, captains will receive an email with further instructions from PUMP staff as soon as we have updated information on the weather delay.

Flash to Bang Method:

In the event of lightning, a flash to bang method will be used. A flash to bang method is used to determine how far away lightning is. Every 5 seconds between a flash of lightening and a bang of thunder equals 1 mile. The field will be evacuated if there is less than 15 seconds between a flash of lightening and the bang of thunder. Game play will not continue until the severe weather passes and there is more than 15 seconds between the flash of lightning and the bang of thunder.

We are thrilled to host our second ever Rooftop Basketball Tournament in Downtown Pittsburgh on Sunday August 28th from 4:00 - 8:00 PM.

Each team is guaranteed at least 2 officiated 20 minute half-court 3v3 games. All teams will also get t-shirts and a prize for champions. Roster maximum is 5 players for the evening. The cost to play is $100 per team. Payment is due in full at registration.

The facility is located at 422 Stanwix Street – and is called Etage Athletic Club (formerly the City Place Fitness and Golds Gym). When you arrive, follow the signs to the gym. Everyone will need to sign a guest waiver. Then you will be buzzed up the elevator to the rooftop. Please share these directions with your team.

Parking: There is free street parking downtown on Sundays (look for the correct signage) and lots of public transportation options. If you park in their garage, your first 1.5 hours are free (anything above that you will be charged for). If you would like to take advantage of this please bring your ticket to the gym front desk to get validated as you are leaving the facility.

There are two tournament champions - the 1st place and the 5th place teams. The breakdown is as follows.

What's in it for new players?: New players will have the opportunity to learn the great game of dodgeball, plus common strategies and tactics seen in this energetic and enticing sport.

What's in it for veteran players?: The opportunity to learn the additional games that the PSL is incorporating into our fall season as a means to keep the game thriving, fun, and unpredictable. It is a great chance to spice up the game, break up static structure, and have our veteran players work to learn new and creative game tactics.

What you can expect from us:

- The top four teams in the league will move onto the playoffs if the weather permits.

PSL COVID-19 Fall '22 Statement:

By registering for a PSL Fall 2022 league, you are committing to participate in the designated league and are required to follow all facility requirements for participation. If at any point during the Fall 2022 season the facility requirements for participation change, you must adhere to the new guidelines or you will not be permitted to play and no refunds will be given. Such changes to guidelines could include but are not limited to the wearing of masks, limited facility capacity, or vaccination requirements. We stand by the Homewood-Brushton YMCA and any decisions that fall in line with our commitment to continue league play safely.

What you can expect from us:

- All teams will play seven regular season games and one playoff game
- Please note that depending on the number of teams who register there may be bye weeks and/or double headers during the season, and the playoff format will vary, but all teams will play eight games
- Your league fee includes facility rental, equipment, a t-shirt, ref fees, a prize for the champions, and league facilitation

What we expect from you:

- There is a deposit of $150 due at the time of registration
